The House of Beggar

No. 71 Main Street has a legend attached about a beggar (figure on the gable-top) who founded the building from the proceeds of his begging. The foundation is from the 14th century, and the house was rebuilt in 1720 and 1760. The allegorical mural was hidden for decades under the rendering and rediscovered in 1994. Today this is one of the most attractive facades in the City centre.
